About the event

Discussed subjects :

- Better understand your ecosystem

- Identify all the strata within which it is possible to plant fruit species

- Know the main criteria for associating plants: dimensions, relationships between them and with the animal world, pollination, exposure

- Create your future orchard on plan or improve your existing garden

This training is the first module of a set of 4 introducing you to:

- The creation and layout of an orchard

- Planting trees and multiplying small fruits

- Winter pruning of fruit trees

- Summer pruning of fruit trees

Schedule of the day:

- 9:00 a.m.: Arrival of participants, coffee welcome, icebreaker game, everyone’s expectations and projects

- 9:45 a.m.: the ecosystem and soil

- 10:15 a.m.: strata and plant succession

- 10:45 a.m.: Visit to the forest to observe the natural plant succession (strata, lianas, shade plants, canopy, etc.)

- 11:15 a.m.: How to make choices in the layout of an orchard: Association criteria

12:30 p.m.: Meal break

- 2:00 p.m.: Plan of the orchard, design

- 3:00 p.m.: Guided tour of the orchard

- 3:30 p.m.: Creation of orchard plans

- 4:15 p.m.: Restitution of the garden plans, each person or group presents their plan and argues about these choices

- 4:45 p.m.: Presentation of other training courses

- 5:00 p.m.: Swap seeds and plants
